For me, having resources to deal with my stress levels was key in helping to manage my chronic stress. For the purposes of this project, I tried various outlets which I believe greatly impacted my life. Check out my experience with each resource below.
The Importance of Having an Outlet
Having an outlet for your stress is greatly beneficial. By having an outlet for your stress, you reduce the stress response in the body which can help reduce the amount of stress you feel chronically. Outlets allow you to take the time that you need for yourself to keep you grounded and put everything happening in your life into perspective. The important thing to remember is to never sacrifice your outlets, even when you feel like you “don’t have enough time.” Making time for yourself and for your outlets is an essential part of managing stress-something I had to learn the hard way!
